ELC Hours

8:15 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.

Group Time

Self-expression is developed through “Show & Tell,” group games, story time, and free play time.

Snack Time

A light refreshment is furnished by the school daily. Thursdays are designated as “Nutritious Snack Day” and each child gets a turn providing these for the class. Birthday cupcakes are welcomed in the classroom, and special holidays provide opportunities for class parties.

Physical Development

All classes have 30 minutes of outside play time each day. Equipment is provided for large muscle development. There are also inside exercises and activities to develop motor coordination.

Christian Training

We believe Christian education pervades all areas of the curriculum and must be a total approach. Bible stories and prayer are shared in the classroom and church. All classes have Bible memory verses and Bible lessons, as well as chapel for 30 minutes each week.

Our Objectives

Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Memorial Baptist Early Learning Center is dedicated to providing children with quality education from a Christian perspective.

In keeping with this tradition, our foundation for academic excellence and Christian character training is achieved by following the A Beka curriculum. Founded more than 25 years ago, the A Beka curriculum’s primary goals are to develop Christian character traits, train children in the Bible, and provide learning experiences for total development in traditional subject matter.

Our objectives are to see that each child grows spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. You can trust that Memorial Baptist provides this firm foundation for a child’s complete development.

Learning at Memorial Baptist is lively, interesting, and memorable.

Our Extra-Curricular Activities

Opportunity is given daily and on special projects to work independently with art materials. Children find self-expression through the use of paint, scissors, crayons, and many other art materials.

Music is taught by a certified and degreed music teacher for 30 minutes each week. This time is used to develop music appreciation through participation in musical games, instruments, and singing. The children practice and perform a Christmas program and a year end program.

Before and After School Care

Before School Care begins at 7:00 am until classes begin at 8:30 am, at which time the children are taken to classrooms. After School Care begins at 3:15pm until 6:00pm. Any child remaining at school after 3:15pm is automatically taken to After School Care at that time. A price break is given to parents paying for the entire week in advance. If you do not need the full amount of time, charges are then made on a half-hour basis.
